JAMMU, Aug 29: Cross Town News Managing Editor Rajesh Gupta served Rs 2 cr Defamation Notice to JKAS Officer Rajeev Khajuria ,presently posted as Joint Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation for defamatory Press campaign and creating false imputatioms on Professional integrity.
The Defamation Notice issued by Advocate Tahil Gupta , Counsel of Rajesh Gupta, demands tendering an unconditional apology for the same failing which legal proceedings for Civil and criminal defamation and for damages for Rs Two crores will be initiated against him.
Along with unconditional apology , issue Press retraction/clarification to all News outlets ( including Daily Jammu Jotting , Northline, Himalayan Mail, one RC Sharma).
However it also big question , to see how the above mentioned News Outlets received the Personal Notice issued by Rajeev Khajuria , which carried sensitive information of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Cross Town News Editorial Team would not have covered this Defamation Notice along with Reply to notice covered earlier, had the Notice issued by Rajeev Khajuria not covered by the News outlets.
