JAMMU, Aug 28: Efforts of Officials of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Affairs & UT divisions of Ministry of Home Affairs, UPSC officials , CS J&K , Secretary GAD J&K cleaed path for career progression of JKAS Officers like DANICS Officers ( timely promotion and more growth avenues professionally ) after induction of 14 serving JKAS Officers as AGMUT cadre IAS Officers.
After four years , JKAS officers have been inducted into IAS , the task which looked difficult with numerous issues , but the calm and problem solving approach of above mentioned Officers brought solutiuon to issues, and eventually the Select list were issued, where in total 23 JKAS Officers cleared for IAS , whereas nine of them are retired.
Fourteen Officers cleared for induction into IAS are Babila Rakwal, Shabnam Kamili, Rachna Sharma, Leena Padha, Rajinder Singh Tara, Tariq Hussain Ganai, Munir Ul Islam, Sajjad Hussain Ganai, Anoo Malhotra, Nitu Gupta, Prediman Krishen Bhat, Bhawani Rakwal, Smita Sethi and Anuradha Gupta.
The retired JKAS officers, who figured in the Select List of 2019 include Anil Koul, Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo. Kusum Badyal, Vivek Sharma, Mohammad Harun Malik, Nisar Ahmad Wani and Jatinder Singh.
Now the fourteen inducted as AGMUT Officers , can be posted in 11 AGMUT States/UTs, whereas high chances are there that two to three Officers are likely to be posted in outside segments.
