Jammu, Aug 10: In O.A./1001/2026 (JAMMU) titled RAHIL ANJUM Vs POWER DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT after hearing CAT ordered as undder:-
During the course of arguments on interim relief, it is contended by the learned Sr. counsel for the applicants that respondent no. 1 has forwarded a communication dated 28.07.2026 to the respondents no. 4 to 7 for scrutiny of deficiencies/pendency pointed by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) in respect of the officials who are being considered for promotion to the post of Junior Engineer under 15% quota from feeding cadres.
It is further submitted by learned Sr. counsel that in case promotion is made to the post of Junior Engineer in terms of upcoming DPC, the applicants will suffer irreparable loss, besides O.A. filed by them will render infructuous.
In view of the aforesaid submission and in the interest of justice, it is directed that DPC may continue with the process of promotion under 15% quota of Junior Engineer, but shall not finalise its recommendations till the prayer of interim relief claimed by the applicants with O.A. is considered and decided.
List this case on 12.08.2026 for further consideration through physical mode.
