Prayagraj, Aug 10: A Revenue Inspector and his private associate of Handia were caught red handed accepting Rs 10,000 bribe in Handia by the cops of UP Vigilance department.
Police said that the errant revenue inspector had sought Rs 10,000 bribe from the complainant for the measuring of land.
A complainant had on August 5 had approached senior police authorities in UP Vigilance department asserting that the revenue inspector was seeking Rs 10,000 bribe from his father for measuring the land in Mauja Bari area in Handia tehsil.
A team of vigilance department laid its trap and arrested the revenue inspector and his private close associate red handed.
