Jammu, Aug 07: CM Omar Abdullah today laid the foundation stone for the Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme, Udhampur. To be executed under AMRUT 2.0 at a cost of ₹124.39 crore.
He said the project will address long-standing water requirements, ensure a sustainable drinking-water supply and improve public health and quality of life.
He also virtually laid the foundation stone for the ₹16.33 crore Used Water Management Project, including a 3.0 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant, in Reasi.
Minister for Jal Shakti Javed Rana, MLA Udhampur West Pawan Kumar Gupta, MLA Reasi, kuldeep Raj Dubey, Deeraj Gupta, ACS, Mandeep Kour, Comm/Secretary, H&UDD, Minga Sherpa, DC Udhampur along with concerned officers were present on the occasion.
