JAMMU, Aug 06: The decision that can end a 13-year wait, the Centre has cleared 28 promotion quota vacancies for the induction of Jammu and Kashmir officers into the Indian Forest Service (IFS).
According to an official communication issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) to the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary, the Ministry has determined 28 vacancies under the promotion quota of the AGMUT cadre’s J&K segment and directed the Union Territory administration to initiate the selection process.
14 vacancies pertain to the Select List of 2013, two to 2017, six to 2018, three to 2019, and one each to the Select Lists of 2020, 2021 and 2023.
The Officers once inducted will be aloocated AGMUT cadre.
