Ramban, Aug 07: Police fired three rounds at a suspicious Scorpio after it failed to stop near the police naka at Chanderkote, close to JP Gate on NH-44 on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district, with the vehicle later traced but its occupants managing to flee.
The vehicle subsequently fled towards the Nashri side.
It was later traced by security forces, but the occupants had escaped from the spot.
A joint search operation involving the police, CRPF and Army is underway to locate the occupants.
Further investigation into the incident is in progress.
