Hyderabad, July 23: ACB Court has remanded TGREDCO Deputy General Manager Mutyam Venkata Ramana to 14 days of judicial custody in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
Arrested on Wednesday, he was produced before the ACB Court on TOday and later shifted to Chanchalguda Jail .
In a first for the Anti-Corruption Bureau in its over six-decade history, officials say they have unearthed their biggest-ever #corruption case.
Ramana was earlier caught red-handed accepting a ₹25,000 bribe in 2019 while serving in the R&B Department. While that case is still under trial, fresh ACB raids allegedly uncovered disproportionate assets worth ₹28.14 crore (as per registration value), surpassing the previous record of ₹17.94 crore linked to an R&B ENC officer.
Since most of the assets are real estate, investigators estimate their open market value could exceed ₹200 crore.
