JAMMU,Nov 26: Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Ms. Asiea Naqash today conducted a surprise visit of GMC hospital Jammu and Super Specialty Hospital(SSH) and took stock of health care facilities being provided to patients there.
During her visit to the hospitals, the Minister stressed on providing immediate and special treatment to patients injured during road accidents and related incidents. She said any complaint of delayed treatment to patient without genuine cause would be dealt sternly.
The Minister asked the concerned to prepare a comprehensive plan for construction of a separate block for emergency patients in the vicinity of Super Specialty Hospital. She also stressed on augmenting items including trolleys and beds to cater the patients.
Taking stock of the cleanliness in and around the GMC hospital, the Minister asked the hospital authorities to maintain better sanitation inside the hospital and also ensure proper disposal of waste.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anil Salathia, Medical Superintend of G.M.C. Dr. R Rattanpal and Medical Superintendent of S.S.H. Dr. Ramesh Gupta and other Senior Doctors accompanied the Minister during her visit.
