Srinagar, July 7: The Central Administrative Tribunal held that the adopted child is not entitled to compassionate appointment as the adoption is not legally recognized under Muslim Personal law (MPL).
The bench of Ritu Tagor (Judicial) dismissed the plea of an adopted son seeking appointment on compassionate grounds as his adopted father has died in harness.
