Jammu, June 13: In O.A./809/2026 (JAMMU) [ titled GIRDHARI LAL Vs SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT after hearing CAT ordered as under:-
On 05.06.2026, while issuing notices to the respondents, two days time was granted to them to file short reply and the matter was fixed for 09.06.2026 for consideration of interim relief.
On 09.06.2026, the respondents were granted further opportunity to file short reply, by the next date of hearing i.e. 11.06.2026.
Today, when the matter was taken up, Mr. Ankur Sharma, learned counsel for the applicants vehemently prayed for interim relief, however, Mr. Sudesh Magotra, learned A.A.G. prayed for some more time to file short reply.
Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the applicants, we are of the considered view that a case for grant of interim relief has been made out.
Accordingly, as an interim measure, subject to objections from other side and till the next date of hearing, the operation of Order No. 42-CEOS of 2026 dated 12.05.2026 (Annexure A/1), Order No. 49-CEOS of 2026 dated 26.05.2026 (Annexure A/2) and Tentative Seniority list of Multi Tasking Staff as on 01.01.2026 (Annexure A/3), shall remain stayed.
