New Delhi, June 06: Govt to process regularisation of unauthorised Colonies in Delhi on ‘As-is Where-is’ basis, which marks a historic moment in the lives of residents of Delhi with the current decision to regularise colonies on an “as is where is” basis.

Smt. Rekha Gupta said that applications on SWAGAM portal will be accepted from 24.04.2026 for cases where Conveyance Deeds / Authorisation Slips have been issued.
Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Manohar Lal during a press conference in New Delhi said that it marked a historic moment in the lives of residents of Delhi. He added that Government of India had enacted the PM-UDAY scheme in 2019 to confer ownership rights to Delhi residents and stated that with the current decision to regularise colonies on an “as is where is” basis, residents will be encouraged to come forward for registration of their properties.
He added, this will not only provide legal ownership but also enable citizens to undertake construction or redevelopment of their homes in accordance with MCD norms.
He stated that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Delhi is witnessing a new phase of planned and inclusive urban development, aimed at addressing legacy issues while building a future-ready city.
