SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah presented the “Best Cement Brand of Jammu Kashmir” award to Khyber Cement at the SKICC Business Conclave 2026 held in Srinagar.
The conclave brought together entrepreneurs, industrialists and business leaders to recognise organisations contributing to the economic and industrial growth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The award was presented by the Chief Minister and received on behalf of Khyber Cement by Manzoor Ahmad Mir and Wasim Ahmed Khan.
The company was recognised for its contribution to infrastructure development, industrial progress, quality manufacturing and economic growth in the region.
Khyber Cement, one of the region’s prominent industrial enterprises, has built its presence across Jammu and Kashmir over several decades through its focus on quality and reliability.
The company said it has also contributed to socio-economic development through initiatives in education, healthcare, youth empowerment, sports, community welfare and sustainable growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Umar Tramboo, Director Corporate and Strategy at Khyber Cement, said the recognition reflected the trust people of Jammu and Kashmir have placed in the brand over the years.
