NEW DELHI, June 01: A Bench of Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma in the Supreme Court of India on Monday granted bail to two accused one former SSP Sheikh Mehmood and Ravinder Kumar Gupta alias Gola Shah, in a murder and conspiracy case arising from a violent land dispute at Greater Kailash area in Jammu, while refusing bail to four other accused namely, Parshotam Singh, Suraj Singh, Vikas Singh and Sandeep Charak..
Bench also disposed a batch of criminal appeals challenging a common order of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh that had rejected their bail pleas.
The Supreme Court specifically directed that they must not attempt to influence witnesses or interfere with the trial in any manner and warned that any violation could result in cancellation of their bail.
