JAMMU, May 25: Jammu and Kashmir Forests Department has peaked up the process for induction of more than 20 officers into IFoS.
The proposal will be sent to Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) which will the look after further process as Officers will be part of AGMUT cadre.
The induction of local officers from Jammu Kashmir into Indian Forest Service (IFS) has been in deep freeze over 13 years without a single promotion quota appointment.
Sources told Cross Town News that Commissioner Secretary Forest Sheetal Nanda has cleared most of the issues related to induction . which is being appreciated as it will provide Officers with route map for career progression.
