Jammu, May 16: On the directions of the JMC Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav, the Enforcement Wing of the Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted a demolition drive against unauthorized constructions in different areas of Jammu city as part of its ongoing campaign to ensure strict compliance with building regulations and municipal laws.
During the drive, two unauthorized shops raised by Rajdeep Sharma and three shops raised by Rajinder Singh Rakwal at Lower Thather, Ward No. 63, Jammu, were demolished by the Enforcement Team.
In addition, an illegally raised tin shed at Chinore, Ward No. 62, was also demolished during the operation. The enforcement action was carried out by the Enforcement Officers and Enforcement Staff of JMC with the assistance of police personnel from Police Post Chinore, Jammu.
The drive was conducted smoothly and in accordance with the provisions of the municipal laws.
The Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav, has directed the Enforcement Wing to continue taking strict action against all illegal and unauthorized constructions across the city.
He emphasized that no violation of building bye-laws, zoning regulations, or unauthorized encroachments will be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Commissioner also appealed to the general public to refrain from raising any unauthorized construction or violating building norms without obtaining proper permission from the competent authority of the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
He urged citizens to cooperate with JMC in maintaining planned and lawful urban development for the betterment of Jammu city.
