JAMMU, May 15: Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha made amendment in Prison Manual, 2022.
The S.O 127 copy with Cross Town News reads " In exercise of the powers conferred under section 59 of the Prisons Act, 1894 and all other enabling powers in this behalf, the Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir is pleased to make the following amendment in the Prison Manual, 2022;
- I. In Chapter VIII, In clause 8.01, the following sub para shall be added: "In case of prisoners with disabilities, a total of two (2) interviews per week shall be allowed with his family members, relatives, friends and legal advisors. Also, number of letters that a prisoner with disability can write in a month shall be five." "
