SRINAGAR, May 11: The District Administration in Kulgam district sealed and seized an allegedly unregistered Unani and Ayurvedic clinic operating from the Post Office building in Kulgam town during a joint inspection carried out by multiple departments.
Officials said the action was taken following complaints from the public regarding the functioning of the clinic.
A joint team comprising officials from the Tehsildar’s Office, AYUSH Department, Block Medical Officer Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Drug Inspector conducted a raid on the premises.
During the inspection, the team reportedly found that the clinic was operating without valid registration and that the individual claiming to be a doctor allegedly did not possess the required medical qualifications or degree.
The authorities sealed the clinic on the spot and seized a large quantity of medicines and other related material from the premises as part of the investigation.
