Hyderabad, May 08: Retired IPS Vinay Ranjan Ray's wife murdered in Jubilee Hills IAS Quarters. Domestic worker identified as the killer. Jubilee Hills police arrived at the scene.
The suspects allegedly smothered Tanuja (55) and decamped with valuables from the house and are currently absconding.
Tanuja's body was found on the first floor of the family’s three-storey house in Prashasan Nagar locality.
Vinay Ranjan Ray was reportedly out of the city when the incident occurred.
Police officers, including Hyderabad police commissioner V C Sajjanar, visited the crime scene. A forensic team also inspected the spot and collected evidence.
The Jubilee Hills police have registered a murder case, and special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the accused.
