Kathua, March 16: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, today visited the construction site of the auditorium hall coming up at the district office of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) here to review the progress of the ongoing works.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the pace and quality of construction and reviewed the works being executed under the project.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishavjeet Singh, Chief Planning Officer Ranjeet Thakur, Executive Engineer XEN PWD Kathua and Executive Engineer XEN M&HD Kathua, besides other concerned officials.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the executing agency to expedite the pace of work, including the works proposed under the additional DPR, so that the multi-functional auditorium along with the library section to be housed within the district office of JKAACL is completed at the earliest.
Emphasizing the importance of the project in promoting cultural and literary activities in the district, the DC called for time-bound completion of the works while ensuring that there is no compromise on the quality of construction.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the concerned engineers and executing agencies to maintain close coordination and ensure that all components of the project are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
