KISHTWAR, 12-03-2026: In a considerate gesture to ease the hardship of grieving families, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma JKAS , today disbursed a total of Rs.05 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund, based on the cases submitted by ARTO Kishtwar, Tasleem Wani (JKAS).
An amount of Rs. 1 lakh each was disbursed to the legal heirs of five deceased victims of road accidents. This government initiative aims to extend support to those affected by such tragic incidents and underscores its ongoing commitment to assist bereaved families.
The families who received compensation included Shivani Devi D/o Lt. Bansi Lal R/o Bhagna Gujjar Basti Nagseni, Nowsheena Begum W/o Lt. Masood Ahmed R/o Palmar, Dolat Ram S/o Prem Nath R/o Tagood, Anju Bala W/o Lt. Jarman Singh R/o vill Neera Rahalthal Kishtwar, Kajal Devi Wo Suman Kumar R/o Bhatna Nagar dharbadan Thakrie.
This distribution marks an essential step in providing financial assistance and acknowledging the distress faced by the families of road accident victims.
