Jammu, March 07: No doubts there are countless questions on JDA bosses in clearing files by adopting "Pick & Choose", "Causing intentional delay in public works", "Non complying Court Orders, Div Com, DC's then VC's clearcut orders" causing more litigations on public taxes expenses, missing of files, no time bound disposals, not providing information in RTI by quoting wrong sections etc etc are on the top of the lists.
Now, a new story of releasing 3K of prime land by the boss, VC, JDA, costing more than 10 Crore in Trikuta Nagar is in highlight, which was notified in the year in 1975-1976 for development of colony following which 2398K 02M land situated in Channi Himmat & Channi Rama, Rakh Bahu was notified vide Land Acquizition act Svt 1990 vide No. LA/504-11 dtd 17.07.1975.
In the year 1984 the Collector Land Acquisition made the Award breing no. LA No. 1286-88 dtd. 31.03.1984. & RS. 1,00, 686.72 in name of Ram Singh compensation amount of the said land stands deposited in the applicants account?
But, Ram Singh & one another on 22.07.1987 following representations Minister, others filed OWP No. 459 of 2004 for not dispossessing from 3 K 14 M land in KH No, 3 and 5 k 02 m in kh no 4 and vide order dtd 25.02.2010 Single Bench allowed the Petition.
Thereafter, JDA filed LPA No 40(OW) of 2010 and vide Judgement dtd 10.07.2024 JDA's Appeal was allowed by the Division Bench following which writ petitioners filed SLP (C) No 25741 of 2014 in Supreme Court.
After hearing the matter Apex Court noted that "It is however stated that the State/JDA has already deposited the compensation amount determined by the Collector pursuant to the Award long back. If that be so, we permit the appellants herein( Land Owners) to withdraw the said amount, if not already withdrawn or/and accepted" and dismissed the Appeal vide order dtd. 10.03.2017.
Now, one can see the competence of VC, JDA & his his so called intelligent & competent team of Revenue Officer, who even disputes "May" word to negative side in deciding an old issue despite so many clear cut reports & then VCs clear cut orders but has now ordered to fence only 14Marla land out of 3 K 14 Marla proved that they have made free 3 K of prime land costing more than 10 crore to the private person, which stands notified in the year 1975-76, no doubts raised a question & pointer towards their integrity & working, needed to enquired by a high level enquiry committee to detect the scam of causing loss to Govt Exchequer by releasing 3K prime land for which Award stands passed in the year 1984?
