New Delhi, Mar 5: Jay Shah, chairman of the International Cricket Council, met members of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team following their historic triumph in the Ranji Trophy,
After the victory, players expressed their desire to meet Shah and acknowledge the role his leadership played in strengthening cricket in Jammu and Kashmir during his tenure as secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The ICC chairman met the team and shared words of encouragement as they celebrated their historic success.
The BCCI shared photographs of the meeting on social media platform X “The historic triumph of Jammu & Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy will remain a proud milestone for cricket in the region,” the BCCI said in a post.
The BCCI also congratulated the entire Jammu and Kashmir squad and the cricket fraternity for scripting what it described as a remarkable chapter in Indian domestic cricket, while thanking Shah for taking time to meet the winning tea
