JAMMU, Jan 21: It has been informed to the Health and Medical Education Department, Union Territory of J&K, by JKBOSE that not empowered to conduct fresh counselling or allocate supernumerary MBBS seats for the academic session 2025-26.
National Medical Commission had said that the students already admitted to the institute would be adjusted.
However, thereafter, the Health and Medical Education Department acted promptly and through office communication No. ME/1/2026-02 (CC-7718124), Dated : 11-01-2026, formally asked the JKBOPEE to conduct counselling of these 50 students for allocation of MBBS seats to them in the Government Medical Colleges under supernumerary seats.
But JKBOSE has now written to Health and Medical Education department that not empowered for fresh counselling.
