Kishtwar, January 08, 2025 Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Shri Pankaj Kumar Sharma, JKAS, today reviewed the progress of digitization of Jamabandi records under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for accuracy, transparency, and timely completion of land records digitization. He said that correct and updated land records are essential for better governance and improved public services.
The DC directed the concerned officers to verify physical land records with digital entries to remove any errors and ensure reliable data.
He also emphasized that the digitization work must be completed within the given timeframe, as it will help people get easy and quick access to land-related documents and bring more transparency to land administration.
To speed up the process, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers to expedite work at all levels, including Patwari level (maker), Girdawar/Naib Tehsildar level (checker), and Tehsildar level (approver).
He urged all field functionaries to work in close coordination for successful implementation of the programme in Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by ACR Kishtwar Shri Idrees Lone and other officers via Virtual Mode including all SDMs & all Tehsildars.
