Jammu, Jan 05: It is to mention here that once upon a time Master Plan of Patnitop Dev Authority was notified in the year 2000 but despite lapse of 25 years revised Master Plan is hanging in violation of J&K Development Act of 1970.
However, after publications of Cross Town News, then Tourism Secretary constituted a committee vide GO dtd 3.11.22 to submit report in 15 day , vide G.0.dtd 04.07.2023 it was modified again but status not yet known.
Again Secretary vide order dtd 28.10.2024 asked CTPs of Jammu/Srinagar for financial implications over framing of Revised & new Master Plans of Tourism dev Authority but after that till day despite lapse of 14 months neither any Mater Plan or Revised Master Plan has been notified raised questions on Tourism department.
It is to mention here that till Master Plans are not framed for different Tourism Development Authorities , how development can take place along with building infrastructure similat to Tourist places in other States/UTs.
It is matter of enquiry that Patnitop Development Authority has wasted lakhs for revised Master Plan but whereabouts are not known needed to be enquired.
