Kathua, December 22: A meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) was today convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kathua , Rajesh Sharma here at Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The meeting was held to consider and facilitate self-employment and income generation opportunities for unemployed youth of the district under JKREGP, being implemented by the J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).
During the meeting, a total of 38 cases were placed before the committee. Of these, 14 applicants were absent, two cases were rejected, while 22 applications were approved after detailed scrutiny and interaction with the applicants.
The approved cases were recommended for sponsorship to banks for further necessary action.
The Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma emphasized effective coordination among line departments and banking institutions to ensure timely credit linkage and successful implementation of the programme for sustainable livelihood generation in the district.
Among others, GMC DIC Mushtaq Chaudhary, Lead District Manager, SBI Kathua; Director, SBI RSETI Kathua; representatives of J&K Bank Kathua, J&K Grameen Bank Kathua; and Government ITI Kathua.
The proceedings were convened by District Officer, J&K KVIB Kathua, Surinder Paul Sharma, who is also the Convener of the DLTFC.
