*r5JAMMU, Dec 14: A shocking incident of attack on a police officer, Nitin Khajuria posted as Investigating Officer at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, was reported on Sunday evening at around 8:30 PM at Gurrah Morh in the Bakshi Nagar area of Jammu.
The assailants were travelling in a black-coloured Thar & attackers allegedly stopped SI Nitin Khajuria and assaulted him with a tokka & they also reportedly brandished a pistol during the attack, creating panic in the area.
The officer sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College, Jammu, for medical treatment.
In connection with the incident, FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar. Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused, and further investigation is currently underway.
