DC Ramban conducts public outreach camp in far-flung villages Bibrota & Chakka Kundi: Issues directions

Ramban, December 10: In a remarkable step towards inclusive governance and last-mile service delivery, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted public outreach camp in the far-flung villages Bibrota and Chakka Kundi in Tehsil Rajgarh, bringing administration directly to the doorsteps of residents living in remote and hilly terrains.

Locals warmly welcomed the maiden visit of any Deputy Commissioner to the area. They projected issues related to road connectivity, school up-gradation, healthcare facilities, power supply, drinking water, animal husbandry, and telecommunication services.

A team of senior officers including CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, ACD Sheraz Ahmed, CAO, CAHO, Executive Engineers of JPDCL and Jal Shakti, Tehsildar Rajgarh, BDOs of Rajgarh and Assar, AD FCS&CA and other sectoral officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner to ensure on-the-spot resolution of public grievances..

Responding to the demands, the Deputy Commissioner assured that the administrative control of departments currently operating from District Doda in several panchayats of Tehsil Rajgarh—including Chakka-A1, Chakka-A2, Chakka-B and Bibrota—would be taken up with the authorities for shifting to District Ramban.

He emphasized that issues linked to departments functioning from Doda would also be resolved on priority through coordinated efforts with the District Administration Doda. To strengthen basic amenities, the DC issued several key directions.

He instructed the engineers of Jal Shakti to visit in the area two days in a week to ensure smooth functioning of water supply schemes, while the AEE PMGSY was directed to remain stationed in the area for a week to oversee debris clearance and road maintenance. He directed the concerned to establish a CSC in the area.

He also directed BDO to construct a CSC toilet complex in Bibrota. The officers of FCS&CA were directed to remain available at the Tehsil headquarters twice a week.

Further, the DC directed the CAHO and DSHO to depute veterinary and sheep husbandry teams once a week to cater to the needs of livestock farmers. To improve power infrastructure,

He directed Executive Engineer JPDCL to provide electric poles and a 63 KV transformer for Chakka Kundi. He also committed to taking up the issue of establishing a BSNL mobile tower with the concerned authorities to improve connectivity in the region.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed BDO Assar to prepare a proposal for constructing a footpath between Chakka and Bibrota, while PWD and PMGSY were asked to ensure regular road maintenance and expedite pending project proposals.

He also directed the CMO to send a medical team once in a week to Chakka Kundi and assured that Aadhaar updation services also be available twice a week in the area.

The Deputy Commissioner passed directions to concerned officers to resolve all the remaining genuine issues in a time frame manner.

Meanwhile, locals raised various issues of public interest and the Deputy Commissioner assured the participants that all genuine issues will be addressed in a timeframe manner.
