SAMBA, Dec 5: Two persons including a daily wager of Power Development Department (PDD) and his helper were killed after receiving an electric shock while repairing a High Tension electric wire at Purmandal today.
Thereafter, duo fell unconscious after receiving the electric shock while repairing the High Tension Line in the area. They were shifted to PHC Purmandal in serious condition where they were given first aid.
As their condition turned serious they were shifted to GMC, Jammu where Doctors declared them as brought dead.
The duo was identified as Angrej Singh, 35 of Mandal falling in the jurisdiction of Purmandal Police Station and Raj Kumar a PDD Daily Wager of Moultlian Kalan Purmandal.
The police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation. Meanwhile the local villagers demanded adequate compensation for the two families and a Government job to their next kin.
