 DC Kishtwar directs Departments to strengthen public outreach, enhance service accessibility

Kishtwar, Nov 18: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), today chaired a meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) to review the progress, coordination, and implementation of Aadhaar-related services across the district.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the status of Aadhaar enrollment, Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) for children aged 5–17 years, verification of centenarians, and other service delivery mechanisms.

He emphasized the need for timely updation of demographic and biometric data to ensure accurate Aadhaar records for all residents.

Further, directions were issued to organize awareness campaigns among the general public who have not updated their Aadhaar for the last 10 years, which can be done at home using online access to UIDAI services or at nearby ASKs.

The DC also directed the concerned departments to strengthen public outreach, enhance service accessibility, and ensure smooth functioning of Aadhaar centres, particularly in remote areas.

He stressed coordinated efforts to achieve saturation of Aadhaar enrollment among children and residents of District Kishtwar and to maintain transparency in service delivery.
