JAMMU, Nov 10:SDPO Gandhi Nagar Jammu Sunil Jasrotia has been transferred as allegedly assaulted JKAS Officer Azhar Khan , Sources told Cross Town News.
The JKAS Officers’ Fraternity expresses its strongest condemnation and outrage over the incident involving the physical assault, verbal abuse, JKAS Officer, Azhar Khan serving as Block Development Officer, by SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Sunil Jasrotia, on 10th November 2025 while the officer was performing official election duty as Transport Incharge for the Bye-Elections during the distribution of polling parties.
The Fraternity viewed this incident as an unprecedented and intolerable attack on the dignity and authority of the civil administration.
Sources told Cross Town News that Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar had written to IGP Jammu on this issue seeking strict actions , after representation was forwarded by DC Jammu Rakesh Minhas.
