High Court orders J&K Revenue Officer to provide copies of record without wastage of time

Jammu, Nov 09: In WP(C) No. 3030/2025 titled Dhani Ram & Ors. Vs UT of J&K & Ors after hearing HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAHUL BHARTI, JUDGE ORDERED as under:-

 01. Learned counsel for the petitioners is directed to place on record the certified copy of original jamabandhi of which the English transcription is accompanying the writ petition.

02. In addition, learned counsel for the petitioners shall also produce certified copy of the genealogical tree (Shajra Nasab) on the basis of which the inheritance of the petitioners with respect to khewat No. 12, khata No. 146/143 relatable to khasra No. 4/2/36 of the village Badali, tehsil & district Udhampur is being drawn from.

03. This direction is being passed considering the fact that English version of Jamabandhi in the column of the ownership has reference to other owners as well as who are not parties to the writ petition be it as co-petitioners or as proforma respondents and the estate is said to be un-partitioned estate by reference to khewat No. 12. Serial No. 02 Regular list.

04. Needful be done by learned counsel for the petitioners by the next date of hearing.

05. List again on 26.12.2025.

06. The revenue authorities are directed to provide the certified copies of the record on being applied by the petitioners without wastage of time and the revenue authorities to comply with the direction.
