Jammu, Nov 09: The High Court has stayed the trial against Patwari Toufeeq Ahmad in a 2017, Anti-Corruption Bureau's case alleging he took a Rs 5,000 bribe to settle a tree-cutting dispute.
Justice Rajesh Sekhri, while hearing plea, issued notice to the UT government and directed that trial proceedings remain stayed till December 26, 2025.
The stay came after Patwari, represented by Advocate Koshal Parihar, challenged the charge order dated August 12, 2025, passed by the Additional District and Sessions Judge (Anti-Corruption), Doda.
