DGP J&K, IGP Kashmir visit Anantnag, Kulgam

SRINAGAR, Nov 8: Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V K Birdhi, today visited Anantnag and Kulgam districts to review the ongoing counter-terrorism operations and strategies aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem across South Kashmir.

During his visit, the DGP held a series of meetings with senior officers from district police, Army and CAPFs, focusing on the emerging security challenges and the recent trends in terror activities.

Detailed briefings were given by field commanders and police officers regarding active operations, intelligence inputs, and preventive measures being taken to block the movement and support networks of terrorists.

Prabhat emphasized the need for intensified coordination among security forces to neutralize terror modules and ensure that their logistical chains, including safe houses, finance and communication links, are wiped out.

He also underscored the importance of strengthening human intelligence and technology-driven surveillance to pre-empt planned strikes.

The DGP expressed satisfaction over the synergy between different forces and lauded the efforts of personnel engaged in anti-terror missions.

He called for continuing proactive operations to maintain pressure on terror outfits and instructed officers to remain vigilant against attempts by radical handlers across the border to revive militant activities.
