Special squad has been constituted to keep a close watch on Diwali celebrations across the city and will monitor hotels, resorts, farmhouses, and private venues to ensure there are no violations of the law.

Group of Citizens speaking to Cross Town News said even in Jammu , similar Actions are required from law enforcing Agencies , as there are certain morals , which need to be followed.

Citizens said a form of ritual is good that you play in your houses with small group but it is being seen that parties are being held at Houses/Hotels and  Men/Women shamelessly sharing their pictures of enjoying Gambling on Instagram/Facebook , which is not giving positive message to younger generations.

They said the festival has deep history and showcasing such activities will not  bring any positive moral values.
