Jammu, Sep 17: The pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine has resumed Today as the pilgrimage was suspended on August 26 after a major landslide hit the route leading to the shrine that resulted in the death of 34 pilgrims and injuries to 20 others.

The decision to resume the yatra comes two days after a group of pilgrims staged a protest at Katra base camp in support of their demand for resumption of the pilgrimage.

But, it is strange that Govt is silent over the serious issue of fixing the responsibility of defaulting officers for continuing the yatra despite weather warning, which was issued on 25th August causing untimely deaths of 34 innocents & dozen of injuries.

However, LG ordered to submit the report in 02 weeks by a committee headed by a renowned competent officer of JKUT, Shaleen Kabra, Add Chief Secretary, so that responsibility of defaulting officer would have fixed but till day the boss has not even visted Katra & by which one can understand that how enquiry can be conducted  but it could not be understand on which date his two month will ends?

However, LGs order copy & weather advisory of JKUTDMA with CTN reads as under:-
