Srinagar, Sep 15: The Crime Branch Kashmir has arrested a fraudster who posed as a Duty Officer to the Lieutenant Governor and duped people of over ₹50 lakh by promising jobs and land allotments.
He was arrested in connection with FIR No. 10/2025 registered at the Economic Offences Wing of CBK.
CBK said offences under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, and 471 of IPC stand registered against him.
The accused has been sent on five-day police remand by the Court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Srinagar, for further investigation.
