SRINAGAR, Sep 04: Are some Pumping Stations not fully functional in Jammu ?
Sources said that after the recent floods, it causeddamage at the pumping stations located on the banks of river Tawi , which has caused Water supply issue in some areas.
Citizens pointed out that nearly 80% of water supply was earlier managed by private tankers, while only 20% was handled by government-hired fleets.
Now Government has taken control of Tankers in Jammu.
However People are saying that with this service, one Tanker is being distributed among number of Residents , which is appreciable step of government.
However they requested that Private tanker services be restored during late evening/night timing with Authorities to keep strict checks on private operators so that People can take use of Water tanker Services during Night time as this will reduce pressure on Government as well as those who want Full tankers can get them.
