Poonch, June 24: Police last night foiled a bid of smuggling timber in Poonch Mandi area and arrested two persons.
In a naka in main market, police intercepted a Tata Mobile and during frisking, found a large number of timber logs loaded which during investigation were found to be illegally smuggled.
Police seized the timber and vehicle while arrested two person from the spot. A case under Forest Act has been registered in this regard.
