RAMBAN, JULY 27: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ramban, Mukhtar Ahmed visited Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Kanthi today to resolve a long-pending issue regarding access to the newly constructed 100-bedded Girls’ Hostel.
The facility, designed to accommodate girl students from remote areas, had remained non-operational due to the absence of a proper access route.
During the visit, the concerned landowners were invited on-site for a joint discussion in the presence of CEO and the Principal of GHSS Kanthi. The deliberations led to a significant breakthrough, with both parties mutually agreeing to provide access to the hostel.
As per the officials, revenue authorities will now initiate formal verification, demarcation, and documentation to ensure smooth and official access to the facility. This resolution clears the way for the hostel to become functional soon, enabling girl students from far-flung areas to benefit from secure and improved accommodation facilities.
In addition, CEO Ramban reviewed the academic functioning of GHSS Kanthi. He inspected classrooms, interacted with students and staff, and stressed the importance of discipline, academic excellence and the proper utilization of available infrastructure.
