UDHAMPUR, July 27: Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur, Amod Nagpure today chaired an operations-cum-crime review meeting at the District Police Lines to assess the law and order situation and preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
The meeting was attended by Additional SP Udhampur Sandeep Bhat, Senior Prosecution Officer, DySP DAR, DySP Headquarters, SDPOs Ramnagar and Chenani, DySPs Operations from Udhampur, Basantgarh and Latti, as well as all SHOs and in-charges of police posts across the district.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review was held regarding the investigation of criminal cases, inquest proceedings, crimes against women and action against drug peddlers and bovine smugglers. Progress on missing persons, absconders and theft or burglary cases was also examined, along with execution of court warrants and summons.
The SSP appreciated the efforts of district police in maintaining law and order and urged officers to update case data on the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems in a timely manner.
He also emphasized quality investigation, proper documentation and prompt grievance redressal. With Independence Day approaching, the SSP issued clear directions to enhance area domination, checking and anti-sabotage drills.
He instructed all units to remain alert and ensure smooth, peaceful and incident-free celebrations.
The SSP reiterated Police’s commitment to uphold peace and continue the crackdown on crime and drugs.
