JAMMU, July 5: District Magistrate Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, conducted visit to Pargwal Tehsil, during which he reviewed the functioning of the Revenue Department and inspected ongoing field activities.
DM toured several villages to assess public service delivery and issued on-spot instructions to concerned officers for improved efficiency and responsiveness.
He emphasized the need for proactive governance and effective public interface
District Magistrate also inspected a Fair Price Shop under the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
He directed Tehsildar Pargwal, Manjeet Singh to seal the shop for floating the norms. Acting promptly on the instructions, the Tehsildar Pargwal sealed the Fair Price Shop on the spot.
He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Jammu, Rajesh Kumar and Sub Divisional Magistrate Marh Athar Amin Zargar, who were also present during the visit and contributed to the departmental review.
The visit concluded with reaffirmed commitments towards strengthening field-level administration and addressing local concerns with prompt redressal but these words raised some questions on DC Jammu for openly non complying LGs ACs Decision No 17/1/2022 dtd 29th Jan 20022 followed by Govt Order No 18-JK(Rev) of 2022 dtd 4th Feb 2022 by which DCs were directed to reso;lve the issue in 03 months but on today more than 4o months has lapsed but not even a sinle case has been cleared by present DC Jammu raised questions on him & his Revenue Team as well for open non compliance of LG & Govt orders & contradiction of his words in public speech?
Above all, It is also to mention here that once upon a time SRO 456 of 2017 was notified but present DC has never botherer but followed by LGs another ACs Decision no. 98/06/2024 dtd 25th July 2024 further followed by Govt Order No. 102-JK(Rev) of 2024 dtd 02.08.2024 by which DCs were authorized to decide the delineation of Gair Mumkin Khad Lands up to 200 K of land but as he is showing his working in media, would have cleared main areas of Jammu city like Greater Kailash, Channi, Channi Rama, Sainik Colony, Bhalwal, Channi Bija, Gangial etc etc, where there is no khad but big constructed areas could have cleared for further sale/purchase, which would have given crores of rupees revenue to JKUT Govt as Stamp Duty Fee & other taxes.
