RAMBAN, June 14: Deputy Commissioner, ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, today chaired an introductory meeting with District and Sectoral Officers & the meeting marked his first formal interaction with the administrative machinery of the district after taking over as DC Ramban.
He stressed on evolving a result-oriented, inclusive, and responsive governance model to ensure holistic development and efficient public service delivery.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shokat Hayat Mattoo; Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather; SDM Gool Imtiaz Ahmed; SDM Ramsoo Mazahir Hussain Shah; SDM Banihal Mohammad Naseeb; GM DIC Ravinder Anand; CMO Kamal Je Zadu; Executive Engineers from PWD, Jal Shakti, JPDCL; REW and all other district officers.
The Deputy Commissioner outlined a comprehensive model of governance centered on accountability, transparency, and public participation.
He asked the officers to prioritize field-level implementation of government schemes and flagship programs, ensuring that benefits percolate down to the grassroots level. Emphasizing the importance of a coordinated administrative approach, he urged all departments to work in synergy, remove procedural bottlenecks, and expedite development works across sectors including infrastructure, health, education, and rural development.
While taking a firsthand appraisal from officers regarding the implementation of major schemes and projects of their respective departments, the DC emphasized that visible results must be reflected through time-bound project execution, responsive grievance redressal, and improved citizen interface in government offices.
The DC further directed the officers to adopt a compassionate and respectful approach towards the public, ensuring that citizens visiting government offices are treated with dignity and their concerns addressed promptly.
He also called for strict adherence to administrative discipline and encouraged innovative practices for improving service delivery mechanism.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed all departments to ensure that arrangements for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra are completed well before June 25, 2025.
