JAMMU, June 14: BJP Jammu & Kashmir General Secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta, while addressing a spirited gathering at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha in Chohala Mandal, Suchetgarh reaffirmed the collective national commitment to building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.
Calling upon the people to contribute actively to this transformative journey, Vibodh said, “The vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047 under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not merely a dream—it is a historic mission. We are not just witnesses to change; we are participants in shaping a new India.
Let us unite with renewed resolve and dedicate ourselves to the service of the nation with mission of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Highlighting the transformation India has undergone over the past 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gupta said, “India has witnessed an era of decisive, transparent, and inclusive governance since 2014. The Modi government has brought economic discipline, encouraged public participation, and replaced the politics of division and corruption with a politics of development and unity.”
Vibodh further highlighted key historic reforms and initiatives that have redefined India’s development trajectory.
These included the abrogation of Article 370, which fully integrated Jammu and Kashmir into the constitutional framework of India, and the conduct of democratic elections in the UT with unprecedented voter turnout. He highlighted the abolition of triple talaq, which ensured justice and dignity for Muslim women, the enactment of the Women’s Reservation Act, and the Digital India revolution, which has empowered citizens across the socio-economic spectrum. Vibodh also lauded India’s technological achievements, citing the success of the Gaganyaan mission as a symbol of the country’s scientific and strategic advancement.
He praised infrastructure development initiatives such as the rollout of Vande Bharat trains, which have improved connectivity. He stressed that under Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership, these historic steps are not isolated achievements—they are part of a clear roadmap toward a strong, self-reliant, and developed India. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Professor Garu Ram credited Prime Minister Modi for transforming India’s political culture and ushering in a governance model rooted in accountability, performance, and national pride. He noted that the post-2014 period has seen a decisive shift from a mindset of helplessness to one of hope.
“Today, the youth of India dream bigger because they believe in a government that delivers, empowers, and inspires confidence on the global stage,” he said. District President Rinku Choudhary, in his address, highlighted the visible impact of central government schemes at the grassroots level. He said that development has reached the doorstep of every household in the form of roads, electricity, clean water, and digital services. Rinku reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to bringing the message of Viksit Bharat to every citizen.
On this occasion, Prabhari Rajinder Singh read aloud the Viksit Bharat Sankalp, a solemn pledge committing all present to work tirelessly toward building a strong, modern, and developed India. Mandal President Suraj Singh, Mandal President Devi Datta and Event Coordinator Natha Ram also spoke on the ocassion.
