JAMMU, May 16: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today successfully retrieved a significant parcel of its land that had been illegally encroached upon in the Paloura area, near Lohan Park.
A major crackdown on encroachers on JDA lands, as Pankaj Sharma, Vice Chairman, JDA again acted tough on encroachment.
A team under the supervision of DLM JDA Garbi Rashid , JDA Tehsildar Rashi Dutta, with the assistance of the Station House Officer (SHO) Janipur, and other supporting staff members. Following due process, the team reclaimed 16 Kanals of JDA land falling under Khasra No. 1121.
Officials stated that this anti-encroachment drive will continue. The remaining JDA land currently occupied by land grabbers in the vicinity is slated to be retrieved soon, and measures such as fencing will be undertaken to secure the recovered land.
