Kishtwar, 14-05-2025: As part of the District Administration's public outreach programme, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan, conducted a Public Darbar in Block Palmar to directly engage with residents and assess their developmental needs.
A large number of locals, including prominent citizens, participated in the interaction and raised various issues with the DC.
These included concerns related to infrastructure, healthcare, education, road connectivity, and other civic matters.
Key issues brought to the DC's attention included the need for fire tender services in Block Palmar, construction of boundary wall at HSS Palmar and staff shortages at various institutions.
Several road-related concerns were also raised, such as the Bhandarkoot to Ikhala Road, Lower Palmar to Upper Palmar Road, and the pending land compensation and Technical sanctioning of the Hatna-Palmar Road.
The DC also shared insights into various ongoing schemes across departments, including Mission Yuva, HADP, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the Tejasvini Scheme, and the Mumkin Scheme.
He urged the youth to actively participate and take full advantage of these initiatives. Locals also raised the issue of ambulance service, to which the DC assured prompt redressal on a priority basis.
Additionally, the DC highlighted the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (RVY Scheme) and urged the general public to avail themselves of the scheme.
As part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative, the DC distributed school bags to orphaned and underprivileged girl children.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to all grievances and assured the public of the District Administration’s full support in addressing genuine demands.
On-the-spot directions were issued to the concerned officers for the prompt resolution of several issues, while others were taken up for further necessary action.
