TANGDHAR, MAY 13: Continuing his outreach to residents affected by cross-border shelling, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah after visiting Tangdhar in Kupwara district toured several villages in the Karnah border sub-division, including Tangdhar, Hajinard, Nachiyan, Shamspora, Baghbela, Batpora, and Tarboni to assess the ground situation and interact with affected families & he expressed solidarity with the victims.


was accompanied by Advisor to the CM Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Trehgam Mir Saifullah, MLA Sogam Qaiser Jamshed Lone, MLA Karnah Javaid Mirchal, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan, Senior Superintendent of Police Ghulam Jeelani Wani, and other senior officials.

He reviewed the damage to residential structures and heard grievances from the affected residents.

He said that government stands shoulder to shoulder with them. Their pain will not go unnoticed, and every possible step will be taken to help them rebuild their lives with dignity and renewed hope.

He reaffirmed that ensuring the safety, support, and swift rehabilitation of affected families remains the government’s top priority.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to provide adequate relief and rehabilitation support to the victims.
