India revenges Pahalgam, launches ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan & PoJK ;  Airports shut in J&K , Schools to remain closed


JAMMU, May 07: Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.

Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted including Lasskar and Jaish Head quarters inside Punjab in Pakistan.

No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted.

India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.

These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered.

 Srinagar airfield has been shut, with no commercial flights operating from the region for the day. 

Schools/Colleges also to remain closed in most parts of  Jammu zone ( Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch) as directed by Divisonal Administtaion. All educational institutions in Baramulla, Kupwara, and Gurez will also remain closed .
