New Delhi, May 04:The Central Administrative Tribunal has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 each on Delhi's Commissioner of Police and Joint Commissioner of Police for illegally dismissing two constables on the account of them looting Rs 28 lakh & without proper enquiry.
Constables accused of looting Rs 28 lakh from a betting ring operator dismissal declared illegal, reinstatement ordered Disciplinary enquiry allowed against senior officers.
The court has directed that the fine be paid into the PM Relief Fund.
The Tribunal also ordered that the two constables be immediately reinstated to service. It allowed the Delhi Police to initiate a proper disciplinary enquiry and take disciplinary action against them and the senior officers will face adverse comments in their Annual Confidential Report.
